As for your question on our blog about flowers, if yours are perennials, you shouldn't have a problem getting them to come back next year. They are usually pretty hardy. You can TRY to get them to come back this year by pruning them, watering them a lot if it's hot and deadheading (just pulling off the dead blooms). However, sometimes they are hard to get to come back in the same year. If they were annuals, they won't come back this year or next year, which is a bummer. I pretty much only plant perennials because it's too much work to garden for one year only.
