Can you believe we've lived here more than a year and I haven't "landscaped"? Heck, Kim planted up her new house after like five minutes! But, I kill everything green and see landscaping as a waste of money... Alas, I must find a middle ground - which I've decided is Hostas. Hostas don't need sun to flourish or bloom and allegedly they are impossible to kill. Admittedly, we had Hostas at our old rental house and I did abso-freakin-lutely nothing to them. EVER. and they still looked lovely. There are some here and they are the only things that came back this year and still look nice into the fall. I hate it when foliage gets ugly and brown before winter. Yuck.
Anywho, my point is, the house is finished (or as finished as it was going to get with him), but I can't show you yet, cause my plant areas look poopy. I bought some plants yesterday and will hopefully get them in the ground this week sometime. Until then, this is all you get...
It's reeeeeeaaaalllllyyyy blue, isn't it?

I am excited to see the entire thing!
I think you are going to have to change the name of your blog! I LOVE the color with the stone!!! And yes, Hostas are a great investment! I have them all over my yard and they are the only things that keep coming back.
That color looks wonderful with the stone! Looking forward to seeing the whole thing! :)
I agree with everyone else - it looks great, especially with the stone!
i love the color.
It is very blue. And very awesome! I recommend planting some burning bushes for fall color and some boxwoods for year-round foliage. So easy, you don't have to do anything!
Cannot wait to see more!

Oooh, I'm liking the deep blue with that stone! Can't wait to see the rest.
Also, this confirms my suspicion that I REALLY need to look into planting some hostas!! No green thumb here, either.
It took more than 5 minutes, silly. And, I totally agree with Sarah about the burning bushes. They'd look great against your house.
And, darnit. I want to see full shots. I love the blue. It's perfect. And, the mac and cheese door has got to be AMAZING.
More pictures. Please?
